Default Side Mirrors

I just replaced my mirrors on my 09 CC that had plain mirrors with the mirrors with the turn signals in them and the signals arent working, does anyone know if they can be programed to work with a starscan tool or do i need to change out some kind of controller? Thanks

It's all in the programming there are no add on controllers and unfortunatly the sales codes for the signal mirrors are not addable on dealerconnect. starscan, witech, starmobile are very limited and do not have all the functionality of the chrysler engineering star and witech systems. so adding things that are not in the accessories book is next to impossible..

So if you put on the tow mirrors where the regular electric heated mirrors were ,the lights for the turn signals wont work?, and do they have a code for that since it is in the catalogue?

It doesn't appear that the mirrors that come in the kit have turn signals or puddle lights so no there's no codes avail...

I wish we could we had a truck come from the factory with the wrong mirrors (it had signal mirrors on it but not optioned for signal mirrors) on a couple months ago. and chrysler told us to put the right mirrors on it rather than offering to turn that function on.. but if you think the (dealership) can do it than spend your money if anything you will look like you have signal mirrors...

Could be me, but find the wire that activates the turnsignals in the new mirrors and tap it into the trailer turnsignal wire under the body. I bought aftermarket mirrors with the signals and this is how I had to wire them in. Only thing will be it'll illuminate when you hit the brakes as well, but more light is better than none at all IMHO.

You can also tap the puddle lights into your dome light line and it'll activate any time your dome light does, I have all my additional lights wired in this fashion and they work quite nicely.
