Q.
can I add an amp and sub to the stock 8.4 A easily or is it a major PIA.

Have an Accoustic and Kicker amp sitting in the garage doing nothing, would like to use them if possible.

Thanks.
I also would like to know how to go about this... i have a 2013 Ram 1500 Sport with the factory Alpine system. I had 2 focal subs in an underseat box with a clarion amp in my 'old' 2010 Ram 1500 SLT. Id like to reuse this system in my new truck since i already have it and would like to know if i could reuse the factory sub wiring for my aftermarket amp; using a line out converter of coarse.

Question 2013 Tradesman RA1 upgrade?

Howdy folks! I have a 2013 1500 Tradesman with the RA1 Radio, I am hoping to upgrade to a RA2, if at all possible an RA3, I cant find MOPAR parts just yet and i was wondering if any one knew how to do this? I have read some threads that claim you cannot, but others say that all you have to do is get the Radio and either install it yourself and have a dealer flash it for you to work or get the dealer to do it for you with a different VIN# from a truck that has that radio.....THOUGHTS?

Cool 2001 ram stereo

ok i have a stupid question?? i have a 2001 ram 3500 with the factory stereo and im not crazy about aftermarket stereos so heres my question, is there any way possible to put a newer model radio in my truck suck as from the 2010-13 models or something like that? i dont even know if they are the same size or same basic shape or wat im just curious if it could be done??? i really like the newer radios b/c you can get with the hard drive in it and not have to deal with so many cd's.

I have a 2010 1500 Laramie with factory Alpine system. Unfortunately it does not have Navigation. Is there a way to add nab to this head unit, or perhaps by a new head unit that had nav? I'd like to keep with the factory unit if possible.

Ok, I'll try posting my question in this thread! I just purchase a 430N RHB Head that also came with a factory Amp, Uconnect module, and the factory subwoofer that goes under the rear pass seat. This all came out of a 2012 2500 total. I did not get any of the wiring harness that may go with all of this.
Now the radio was a simple plug and play. The sub mounted just fine and the wiring and connector were already in the well for the sub under the carpet so I plugged it in. It doesn't work right now. The amp mounts up under the left side of the dash by the kick panel. No harness or connectors there for it. Haven't installed the bluetooth module yet. My question is, is there another connector/harness that connects the amp to the the radio head? The under dash harness was sold with the interior of the donor vehicle so I don't have access to that anymore. What are my options to hooking up the factory amp to the radio? Any help would be appreciated.

I have 2 12'' subs in a box from a previous system. I now own a 2006 Ram 1500 standard cab and was curious about putting them behind the seats without loosing all of the storage room back there. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I also have a 2013 bighorn with the 8.4...6 speaker I believe? I know it has 6.9x's in the front doors, and rears as well while I don't know what the front dash's are. I would like to get 2 10" subs maybe 12's but I don't think the seats have the right amount of room without loosing the cupholders in the back. So for now Ill say 10's...id like to go type r's since you can use and abuse the piss out of them and because from what I understand they are versatile for rock..hip hop ect ect ect..So..based of that basic information, what amp and box would a pro recommend? Also, can this be plugged right into the factory system? Im not to concerned with upgrading the factory speakers ATM because subs will likely drown them out anyways. Thanks for any suggestions and help in advance..can see you guys getting a lot of questions

The 2013 Ram 1500 will only play the radio(8.4) on ACC setting for about 20 minutes. Is there a way to allow it to play until you shut it off, instead of it shutting itself off? It is also a KFOB starter, so only OFF, ACC, and RUN settings.
