Don't worry about the questions, that's what we are here for!

1) You can, I used my own ground "bolt" though for a more secure mount. Used a wire wheel on the grinder to clean a spot, put the ground cable there and screwed in a monster self tapping screw.

2) Does the harness work? I mean does the head unit turn on with the aftermarket harness? Taping off the speaker wires won't be a problem since you are using the Imprint Ai-Net cable. My concern is that the Alpine head unit will turn on using that harness.

3) It will be ok. Just keep an ear out for any humming, but you should be just fine.

4) I'll have to let someone else chime in on the Bluetooth, the MyGig came with it for me.

Another question since I didnt get a response on first one. So can I add a say on 2008 radio in my 2004? I understand there will need a new bezel and some mods but will it work?

That I can't really answer. The bus speeds may not match up between 2008 and 2004, providing a major headache if they don't. For the same time and cost involved, you might want to check out an aftermarket head unit instead.

Hey guys! So...I just got a 2005 1500 SLT that has this radio in it:

Reading through the owner's manual it says that "mode" button is used to cycle through the optional CD changer or satellite radio. NOW, I don't have any of those things, but I take that to mean that this head unit has the ability to accept "auxiliary" inputs. Is there a way I can tap into that ability and add a 1/8" stereo plug for connection of an MP3 player?

I know it would probably be easier to just add an aftermarket head unit, but I love keeping the "stock" look. If I can keep the stock head unit but add the ability to play back from an MP3 player, I would be a happy camper :-)

im sure this has been answered before although i cant find a clear answer. im pulling my pioneer headunit from car and putting it in my brothers 2004 1500 quad cab with infinity audio without uconnect. now i know that i need the dash kit and antenna adapter, but what wiring harness do i need?

Is this the right one because im not really sure what amp bypass means im only changing the headunit to aftermarket i would like to keep the infinity speakers and amp?
