Hey Chithead,
I have a slight change of plans for my system. I have decided to go with some 6.5 components in a set of kick panels. So now I need to power the following.

6.5 components 60 watts rms each at 4 ohms
6x9 70 watts rms each 4 ohms
6.5 50 watts rms each 4 ohms
3.5 25 watts rms at 2 ohms

I figured I could run the 3.5's of the head unit, what amp do you recommend to run the other 6 speakers? I need it to fit under the seat as I have the subs under the rear seat.

Thanks in advance

Might be a little too big though... Almost 20" long

Good morning! I am a newbie w/my first-ever truck. It's a 2002 Ram 1500 SLT longbed that just turned 20k miles this week.
Question #1 I want to upgrade the radio w/hd/bluetooth/usb port/CD/WAV/MP3 (e.g.,
Dual XHD6425 4X50 Watt Bluetooth-Ready HD Radio/MP3 Player) or w/DVD 7" screen which I could also hook up to a rear camera (e.g., Boss BV9560B 7-Inch Double DIN Motorized Widescreen Touchscreen In-Dash TFT Monitor/DVD/MP3/CD Combo Receiver with Built-in Bluetooth). Any thoughts/suggestions?
Question #2 I believe my audio space is 1.5 DIN. Many sets are either 2 or 1 DIN. How does ths work? Any thoughts/suggestions?
Question #3 Is it worth replacing the factory speakers? Suggestions?
Question #4 Is there a speaker made to fit in the front corner of the door where the window begins?

Thanks for your thoughts...safe truckin'

Reverend

I tend to stay away from brands like that, what is your budget, listening needs, expandability?
Question #2 I believe my audio space is 1.5 DIN. Many sets are either 2 or 1 DIN. How does ths work? Any thoughts/suggestions?

Yes, you have 1.5 din, any single din will be simple w/ a dash kit, as fro trying a double din, it's possible, but will require some dash modification
Question #3 Is it worth replacing the factory speakers? Suggestions?

Will you be adding amps in the future? If not, I would look into a simple 3way set w/ onboard crossover
Question #4 Is there a speaker made to fit in the front corner of the door where the window begins?

As in the sail panel?

Thanks for your thoughts...safe truckin'

Just checked out your build log dodgeman. Very nice.
I'm getting a free MTX Thunder 3404, and am debating on whether to put it in the Ram QC or the CSRT4. I'll probably be going with HAT Imagines for the speakers, and if in the CSRT4, staying with the factory head. If in the QC, I'll be changing the head, as the cd player has quit.
I'm wondering if it would be worth it to use some mat on the doors. I'm not looking for an all out system, just something that sounds good to me.

Hi, I was wondering where I could get an aftermarket cover that houses the radio and whatnot in a 2006 dodge ram 1500. the original CD player has quit working and I'm tired of the radio playing the same songs over and over and would like to put a different stereo in it. Thank's in advance.

Is it the regular radio with the knob cutouts on each side?
