Hey guys, I got some subs that im looking at. I really dont wanna spend too much $$ on them, I just want some decent bass. Here are two links to the ones im looking at.

Link 1: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Link 2: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Obviously the 2nd one is better, but how much better would it be than the 1st? Thanks guys, I dont know much about this stuff other than I love bass! haha

Two pluses for the second kit. More power (750W vs. 400W) plus the remote gain control. I find having one of those a really nice feature with my recently upgraded system.

Since not all music tracks are born equal, some have less bass or some have more bass. With the remote gain control, you can dial in how much bass you want at any given time for any given track that is playing.

Feeling especially loud and boisterous??? Dial it up until the air displacement fuzzes your hair...

Feeling mellow and refined? Dial it down and just let the bass carry the mids and highs in your front sound stage.

It's a nice feature to have and you will find you use it!

I've never heard one of those so I am not sure if the box has the right amount of airspace for that woofer. Before you buy, go to Kicker's website, look up that sub and find out what needs for airspace. Then check the specs on the box that is offered. As long as it's not too different, then you should be good.

I don't have any experience with Kicker subs. I've heard they are OK. Most of my experience has been with JL and Alpine stuff.

Kicker seems to be a great company with some great R&D going on. I'd check the airspace requirements. Hopefully someone else with more experience with the Kicker stuff can respond.

Airspace says .55 per sub, and the reccomended volume is .80. Is that too much?

Recommended airspace volume for the sub is .80 to 3.0 cubic feet. Available airspace in the box per sub is .55 cubic feet. It's a bit small. Not sure if that's a big issue or not. It's pretty close.

I think the audio gurus will chime in here when they see this.

I try to get as close to the minimum airspace required as possible.

Is that info on the sub from the Kicker website?
