Wondering, I have a 2008 1500 quad cab with cd player. If I bought a double din dvd player with navigation and satellite radio would I be able to plug it into my factory harness ? I would of course purchase the right bezel for my truck that would have been for the navigation set up but would I have to do any cutting of metal or plastic behind the bezel also ? Thank You.

You won't have to cut behind the bezel, but you will need: Correct adapter harness, Nav bezel, double din trim/dash kit, trim pry tool, #2 phillips screwdriver, soldering gun, heat shrink, beer, and coffee.....

Have you already picked out what subs you wanted to use? 6-3/4" mounting depth and .55cuft volume leaves you a bit limited on choices..

Yeah I was thinking of going with a pair of MTXs...I wasn't quite sure exactly how much room I would have to work with...whats the biggest depth I can get?

I have seen some with better than 7", but I would consider custom. Have you talked to one of the local audio shops? The best thing is to try to utilize the most space available to you under the seat. I have seen some built that will net you 1cuft per side, and built very well.

Another option is fiberglass, which will net you the most airspace possible, how handy are ya?
