Default 2012 Dodge 1500 Crew Cab

I just bought a 2012 Dodge Ram Bighorn Crew cab. It has the stock stereo system. Speakers suck and would like to upgrade. Since the rear seat backs are fixed and the rear seat folds up, where are u guys mounting amps? I would like to keep the rear floor clear of ams and wires for my wet dirty Lab. Also I would like to retain the stering wheel controls if I get an after market head unit. Any suggestions for a system would be appreciated.
I already have a JL 6 channel amp, but it is pretty large.

The only place a JL 6 CH Amp will fit is on the back wall... I just did this couple of days ago: Build Log: Infinity, RE Audio, Fox Box, Amp Rack

Not sure about aftermarket head units, however, you can install a Line out Converter for your amp. Look up Audio Control LCXi (X=2,4,6)

What's up everyone. I'm looking to replace my stock speakers, any good deals out there right now? Looking to replace both front and back for some better sound. Not looking for any additional speakers just the 4.

OK I have a question I am somewhat capable at installing stereos in my old vehicles years ago, however I want to install these I am getting in the mail.
heres the sub link..Im getting the 300/150 watt ones.
http://www.kicker.com/Comp

heres the link for the amp, im getting the DX300.2
http://kicker.com/dx_amplifiers
and heres the link for the 6x9s, I am getting the 11DS693
http://kicker.com/ds_series
Question: are these products compatible with my 2012 Ram 1500 QC Express with the RES radio. Am I going to run into any fitment issues such as speakers being too deep for doors, not compatible with the stock RES radio, etc...Also will the 1 sub be sufficient since i really dont want to lose both underseat storage spots in rear? Any thoughts would be awesome. Thanks!

You will be fine on the comps. The sub, you will be ok depending on what you are looking to do, are you wanting wake you neighbors up bass, or just a well rounded system, if well rounded is your goal you will be happy.....You will be fine hooking all this up to your RES radio, just dont ask me how, I have a aftermarket head unit, but plenty of guys on here have added all kinds of aftermarket systems to stock head units........Did you ever find your info on the rear seat? There is plenty of how to threads on here, here is the one dealing with 2011 and up rams
