For the Sat antenna? I know the Fm/Am antenna will work.

Unfortunately, you can not simply connect the stock sat antenna plug and call it a day. The head unit requires the use of one of these. I was told that you can then plug the stock antenna(may need an adapter) into the particular Pioneer satellite module rather than having to install Pioneer's antenna.

This may have been asked already, but dont have time to look through 84 pages lol. I have the stock radio in my 2010 ram big horn, listed as RESS Media Center 130 CD/MP3 on my build sheet. I want a sub just to add a little thump, can i keep the stock head? What would I need other than a sub and box? an amp? Iv never done any audio stuff and want to try doing it myself, but not sure where to start.

If all you want to add is a basic sub to your stock system, that won't be too difficult and you'll need just a few things. First, the speaker and enclosure which can be bought as a pre-made setup from companies like MTX, JL Audio and Q-Logic. Next you'll need an amplifier to power it, and since you are running a stock radio you have two choices for how to get the signal from the stereo to the amp. A line converter will tap into the speaker wiring in the rear doors and give an RCA cable that will plug into the amp or there are amps that accept high level inputs (the speaker wiring connects straight to the amp). Lastly you'll need an amplifier wiring kit to run power cable from the battery to the amp, ground the amp to the truck, provide a fuse for protection, and a remote turn on wire that tells the amp when to turn on and off. This remote wire can be connected to the cigarette lighter's wiring in the rear or front of the truck. Make sure that the cigarette lighter that is tapped into only powers on when the key is turned, some provide power when the vehicle is off. Good luck and post some pics when you complete your project.

Default Upgrade Stereo to Nav, DVD, Camera

Hey -

I have a 2011 Ram 1500 BigHorn with the basic non-nav stereo. I am looking to upgrade to one with a nav, rear view camera functionality and bluetooth, sat / dvd etc. like the stock Mopar version. I have looked at buying the Mopar one which is $1600, so after market sounds like a better deal, looking to see which after market model is most compatible and not $1600, if you know what I am saying.

You all know your stuff, so I wanted to check and see if anyone knows of a model or type that is the easiest to integrate with all the base functions onboard with the Ram.
