DVD's won't show on the rear screen. Am I doing something wrong?

Default No rear speakers with aftermarket deck in 2007 with Infinity

Installed my new JVC deck and suddenly I don't have any rear speakers. 2007 with the Infinity system. Before you ask, yes I did connect the blue amp wire. However I did connect my antenna power wire to the same place. Done that before without issue. Everything else is hooked up exactly as it should be. Speakers are fine, everything worked before the switch. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

(And apologies if this has been answered before, the forum search yielded no results for me, and this is a very long thread!)

What a speaker will handle power wise has very little to do with the speaker itself. The type of enclosure and how clean the power is will greatly affect things.
I've put 1500 clean watts into drivers rated for 500 max with zero issues.
For a sub you can get away with a lot more with small, sealed enclosures. Ported enclosures will take less power given the same driver.

My suggestion is to stop looking at RMS ratings and focus more on the install.

Coming up pretty soon I want to purchase a double-din in-dash head unit. I want built-in GPS, rear usb connectivity for my ipod and a usb thumb drive. also want builtin satelite radio since I have the stock satelite antenna and cabling in place already. what is a good brand and model I should look into? I want a nice unit but don't want to spend more than $700. any help is appreciated.

What size would the speakers be on the dash in the 2011 Ram 1500 ST 4x4? Looks like a 2.5" or 3" speaker size or so. I am going to replace all my speakers with some of the higher end pioneer speakers all the way around but the sub. I need a box for the rear and am going to put a single 10" or maybe a 12" as well. I thought about dual 10's or 12's but I think a single would be better so I have a bit of space on the other side of the rear seat still. I believe the fronts are 6x9 and rear speakers are 5.25" according to sonicelectronix.com but they said nothing about the dash speakers. Any help would be awesome.

Anyone ever mount an amplifier under the center console of the Rams? I have a 2102 2500 and I was thinking right under that center console, in the front would be a sweet spot. protected, and very easy to run all the wires. Im not running subs, just the 4 door speakers, so I would not think it will get too hot in there, but my only concern would be heat becsasue it is enclosed.
Thoughts?

My 2011 1500 outdoorsman , i put all JL Audio in it, the dash I used the c2-350x which were 3.5" and they were a perfect fit. Factor for all doors are 6 x9". In my front doors, I used 5 1/4" with an adapter to fit the 6 x9 opening, and in my rear doors I used 6 x9 speakers, all fit perfectly, and sounded great. i took all the equipment out to put in my new 2012 2500, only thing i might change is i might put the 6x9 in the front and the 5 1/4 in the back..good luck

I put a Kenwood DNX 6960 in mine. I liked it because it uses Garmin for the navigation. It has all the features you are looking for except I think there is a seperate module you have to buy for Sat radio. The rear USB is on a wire and nice, comes with a bracket so you can add the plug to your dash board if you want. I just ran the wire to my glove box and leave my USB drive hooked up in there, out of the way and easy to get to. I did have to do some modifing to my sub dash, had to cut a piece of plastic out, and bend one of the metal bars. Used a dremel tool for it, was quick, easy, clean, and still maintained the size for me to put all the factory stuff back in this past weekend. All in alkl, it has been a great unit. Not sure if they still make that model, since mine is over a year old, but im sure they have a replacement. price was 799 on sale at crutchfield, normally it was 999, and has a 2 year warantee. I looked for a long time, and the kenwood seemd to have the most features, good nav for a good price. Very easy to add a backup cam to it also.
