Oh, one last thing. Has anybody tried an inch, or inch and a half spacers for the 6x9's to see if you can get a better 6x9 to fit in the location. I'm interested in potentially doing this and experimenting with it. Thanks.

I went with all JL Audio. For the dash I have the c2-350x 3.5 inch, front doors are the c2-525x 5.25 inch with the adapters for the 6x9 openings.
Rear doors I have the c2-690tx 6x9 inch. I have the dash speakers powered directly from the head unit, the rest are hooked to a JL Audio 320 watt amp. Sounds fantastic.
Not sure of mounting depths, but the 6x9 I have would not fit in the front, and the just fit in the back doors( even though the crutchfield website said they won't fit back there)

Any one know the best way to run new wire to the speakers in the doors? I always ran wire from my amp to behind the stereo and used the factory wiring from that point on..this time I'd like to actually run good speaker wire right from the amp to the new speakers..I think I have an idea how..but want to be sure..

Well, I pulled the trigger on a
PIONEER TS-D6902R 2 way setup, but it was the higher end version of the pioneers. I tested Alpine, JL (and hated them) Boston Acoustics (loved them but it was demo only and couldn't get them as they are going out of business), and Focal which were bar none the best but I just couldn't fork out $250 on them for a nominal gain over the Pioneers. I was testing out pioneer speakers that were 2-3 grades lower than the ones I got, and think I will be extremely happy with them. I've never had any issues with pioneer 2,3, and even 4 ways. Can't wait to get them and got a spacer in case they are too deep for the front doors. I also got some 3.5" speakers for the dash which will do more than anything doing the front four speakers, and I'll get a couple grades down for the rear doors. I'm thinking the TS-A699A4 4 ways for the rear. Not rated quite as high, but still really highly regarded by most. Wish me luck.

I figure if I get the front door and dash all done (which looks really easy) I'll do the back doors at my convenience if all works out. If these are too much for the front, they're going in the back, even if they're the nicer speaker. I'd rather have a quality install that works than a ghetto plumbers tape install, but lower quality drivers.

dahs and all the doors are very easy, especially if you are not running all new wire to them...
supposed to be nice out this weekend here in good ol new yourk, those are my target days. Figure run all the wires first, then start doing all the swapping.
Still trying to decide on the perfect spot for my amp mount.

Cool sound crew 12" console box

So I purchased a front console seat sub box from soundcrew for a 12" ecplipse sub.....Does anyone know how this mounts to stock brackets that are attached to seats?

I am looking to make my sound better in 2006 quad cab 4 speakers.. What would be better to start with new Double Din head unit with stock speakers or new speakers with stock head unit.. I was thinking of just replacing the speakers first with some Polk audio's..

I have a 2010 ram with electronic sway bar can it be replaced with standard bar and if so how do you get around all the sensors. Dodge dealer say's can't be done is this true.
