Default hmmm...

so i went to a local shop today to talk to a professional about tuning my truck. he told me he doesnt recommend that i do a chip or tune bc the rocker arm will break over time...ive looked all over this site and i havent read the first thing about anyone having trouble with their rockers.

but i still wanna do it! i dont care what he says, which chip is best for a 02 4.7? im not worried about mpg, i jus want PERFORMANCE!

I think you are pretty much limited to a SuperChips for your early 4.7L but I may be wrong.

maddog is right. For a stock 4.7 superchips is your best bet.
You start putting cams, ported heads, ect then you should look into sct tuning.

You can use the 3865, or 3815. I like the 3865 best. There's one (3865) forsale one dfwrams.com for $300

I was going to buy it but I bought a ramhammer instead.

One other possibility is B&G Performance for a custom PCM flash.

Sct tuner is a type of tuner that allows a Guy (hemifever@aol.com) to custom tune your engine through email. You will have to have an a/f ratio and rpm data logger. You send data to him, and he sends you back a tune until your truck is dialed in.
