I have run everything from highly modified Z28's to BMW's the last 35 years. This truck has zero float. The handling is good. Now.....you want to tune them go HAL QA1 billet 12-way adjustables. www.ruslow.com hooked me up years ago for the 2000 Ford Lightning.

SPEEDFREAK...did you mount the Addco's? The bars with tighten it up tremendously. I tried them with and without the Addco bars.

Here is some help for those who want a custom adjustable set up. HAL QA1. Stocker Star® - Single and Double Adjustable Stock Mount Shocks.

John,

It is much easier if you give us a call. The best person to speak with is Mike. The number is 916-771-0109. We will need to know your installed height and upper and lower mounts.

DTC1540P Stocker Star® Double Adjustable Single Adjustable
Double Adjustable 10.25 Inch 15.50 Inch Stud T-bar $329.00
DTC1914P Stocker Star® Double Adjustable Single Adjustable
Double Adjustable 8.75 Inch 13.50 Inch Stud T-bar $329.00
DTC1958P Stocker Star® Double Adjustable Single Adjustable
Double Adjustable 9.38 Inch 14.38 Inch Stud T-bar $329.00

Stocker Star® Double Adjustable

Every QA1 double adjustable shock features 24 positions of compression adjustment and 24 positions of rebound adjustment, providing 576 possible combinations to maximize the performance of your vehicle. There are three features that are critical for an excellent double adjustable:

1. Adjustment Range

QA1’s adjustment range encompasses virtually every application

2. Tuning ability within the adjustment range

QA1 offers evenly spaced valving changes throughout the adjustment range. There are no “jumps” when adjusting between any two clicks.

3. Independence of compression & rebound adjustments

QA1 has developed a truly independent double adjustable shock. When the compression knob is adjusted, rebound does not change and vice versa. Compression and rebound are controlled independently, allowing the ultimate in fine-tuning for any application. Most manufacturers of double adjustables make this same claim – however, they cannot necessarily back it up with the product. We strongly encourage serious racers and performance enthusiasts to put their double adjustables to the test on a dyno. We are confident that you will find that there is no comparison between QA1 and the competition.

QA1 offers the double adjustable shock for a variety of applications, including stock suspensions for 1955 – present American cars and light trucks, front coil-over conversions for GM muscle cars, as well as four-link and ladder bar type suspensions. The double adjustable shocks are available in the Proma Star®, Stocker Star®, Pro Coil, Corvette “C”, Generation “F”, Pro Street and Mustang Rear series.

Double Adjustable Truly Independent Compression and Rebound Adjustment

576 Valving Options

Includes 24 positions of compression adjustment on one knob, and 24 positions of rebound adjustment on the other knob. Each knob is clearly labeled with an “R” for rebound or a “C” for compression, as well as plus and minus symbols for ease of adjustment.

· Some front applications may require the lower a-arm to be dropped for installation. Body diameter may be too large to allow mounting from the bottom. Some control arms’ shock openings may need to be enlarged to accept a QA1 shock.

· Due to deviations from the factory ride heights, it may be necessary to check the actual ride height of your particular application.

· Many Stocker Stars® can be converted to different mounting applications.

· If you do not see your applications listed, please call the QA1 tech line at 952-985-5675 for more information

Out the door to work. HAL will manufacture them custom length. I am ordering a full set similar to those I had on the Lightning.

thanks...it is a daily driver......it has about 12 dent doctor dents in in believe it or not small hole in front bumper etc. Dallas highways, major suckage with debris.......

this truck is a road warrior and will not be a garage queen.......

my buddy paints and will slick this one out for 2500.00...not bad considering the hood that he painted blows away the rest of the factory paint..........the factory paint guns were a little dry and it shows a bit too much peel. But once it gets krapped out I will just spray the whole gig. Lifetime Warranty......might as well use it.

no time to finish this truck up soon........ordering headers today to be sent out for drop shipped coating (i hope or might use them raw???) ......the whole wrap up is killing me. My garage is looking like a dang speed shop. Guy at work has Dynatech Stainless long tubes on his 3rd GEN and he tells me I am crazy to coat them. So I am on the fence with coatinng now.
