Default Towing two trailers (triple towing)

In Oklahoma it legal to "triple tow". Tow two bumper pull trailers. I'm looking into getting a real small 14' camper that weighs 2000lbs. My rig (alight rock crawler)and trailer for it weigh a total of about 3600lbs (the total being only 1/2 the weight of what my truck is actually capable of). I was thinking of getting a ball put on my rig trailer to pull both the rig and the travel trailer once a month. Reason being is my wife and I also camp alot so there will be times I wont have my rig with me just the travel trailer. I've seen two people doing this.
Has anyone done this and whats your take?
thanks,

It's also legal here in ND. Seen it done. I would'nt do it unless the 1st trailer is a tandom. Then you have to use a stablizer hitch. Towing speed will be slower because the last trailer will sway. Most people here have gone to 5th wheel campers when pulling a 2nd trailer. That is a much better way to go.

Yeah my rock crawler and trailer are tandom and the last trailer is single axle (the 2000lb travel trailer). was also thinking of installing a sway control arm between the middle and last trailer

I've seen this as well. As long as your GVWR isn't exceeded with the full truck load + the load of the trailers, and you have some form of anti-sway device at each hitch, you should be good.

Usually the law revolves around the total overall length. Generally I see 5th Wheels pulling boats (Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes and 3 fish). My father-in-law had to get a small 5th wheel so he could pull his boat behind. Check with the state about length restrictions.

The total weight would be 5600lbs (combined trailers), 2010 dodge ram 1500 5.7L
