Highways/traveling one tank of gas I was getting approx 19mpg. During the work week in DC approx 14mpg...both #s on 87 performance tune. Ill use these numbers to compare and as you know we all drive differently
How is that 10% throttle response working for you, are you running a stock tb or a larger tb

Absolutely great, glad we have the option. Stock TB. I dialed it up to 12.5% this morning. I like it when that front end surges up at a lil stab of the throttle, makes that hemi look mean . It also doubles up for me as a training tool, learn how to drive light footed as needed for eg. longer distances I dial it back down get in that hyper mileage mode LOL

Nice work... I like your idea. I think the Airaid tube kit would have done the same thing, but I don't know about your expense portion. How much did you put into parts for you mock up?

good tutorial!

for all the parts listed plus the KnN filter comes to approx. $150. The excitement and the unknown of outcome of diy.. priceless
all in all very happy with the way it turned out. The 4" tube listed p/n..I cut 3" off on each end so you can probably spec one already the proper size..
