Default Starting to get jealous, whole family is getting lift kits!

My brother just put an 8" lift in his F250 about 3 days after I put on my 36s, and my dad just finished getting a 4" and 35s on his 07 F150, and he's ordering a 2011 F150 with a 6" and 35s! I think I might have to bite the bullet and get a 6" put in next week...

Definatly alot of pressure! Only thing is I want to get a top quality kit and that will run me 5 grand installed around here, and I realllllly kind of want a side by side for the winter, we have like a friggin 8 month winter up here and a lifted truck isn't the best for that. Somebody shoot me this is too much pressure!

Family pressure is the worst, lol, but the pressure here to mod your truck can be excruciating at times

You're tellin me! Now I have to keep up with my online family and my real family! Not cool! It's funny because my dad and brother used to be thoroughly against modifying vehicles until I put 35s with 20" rims on my dodge and they saw how such little things made a big difference. I put on my 36s, my brother had his lift put in days later, and now just a few weeks later my dads got the bug! damn it!

LMAO...double the pressure, double your fun!

So is the truck ready for me to pick up? LOL

C'mon man, you can do it. Just don't steal any parts off the F**D they won't fit and if it was built for a F**D, it's just gonna break anyway...

Am I the only one that thinks that lifts are ridiculous? Is there any point besides style? To me anything over 4" doesnt make sense. Its just my opinion.

Maybe its just the part of the country Im in. Here guys put the 6" or 8" on then run the most expensive mudders....that never leave the pavement. Or the few I have seen on the trail get stuck, or are just to large to fit on roads. I guess it just depends on what you use it for. But really, besides looks is there any advantage?
