Hey herc,

That's correct, the installer did a very neat job of notching the black plastic below
the bumper. He decided on his own not to notch the steel bumper. We didn't
discuss it. To get the perfect height, the steel bumper would have to be notched,
but that wouldn't look good when the plow is off.

And yes, the receivers are easily removed. That's a very impressive system. I
remove mine whenever I take the plow off. Some guys drive around with the
receivers on during the winter, but it only takes 30 seconds to remove them.

I have a 11 Laramie and the Meyer plow is going on now. Small notching in the modesty skirt but no big deal. Electronic connector in the grill. They did have to install Timbren suspension kit to raise the front end up.

mjmcguire, a couple of questions:

1. Which Meyer model did you get?
2. How low will the framework be below the front bumber and how noticeable will it be with the plow off?
3. My dealer also talked about timbrens in the front. He said they wouldn't affect normal height without the plow, but would keep sag to a minimum with the plow on. I'd be real curious to hear if yours actually changes the front height at all without the plow on, and how they affect the ride (if all).

I'm about ready to pull the trigger myself, but so far have been talking about the same unit Steve has. My dealer carries both Western and Meyer, so I'll be interested to find out how yours turns out.
