If that's what you like, then great. What does it matter what other people think. If you like it then enjoy it. I've been on other forums that if you don't go along with the crowd, you were shunned. Ha! Any mod you do is your taste, and I've noticed on this forum there is alot of support no matter how you mod your vehicle. Myself, I like it.

I used to have a lifted 2wd Ford back in the day. I didn't want to go off roading, just liked the look of it. I had people ask me why I "wasted" my money if I can't utilize a 4wd system, I told them "it was my money, when you decide to ante up and help me pay for things you can have an opinion on what I do".

I see nothing wrong with lifting a 2WD, I plan on it myself one of these days. I don't have to take my truck offroad, got my Jeep for that, but I like the way it looks. Then again, I never was one to do what everyone else likes or does, more often than not, I go against the grain haha, but it's my truck and when I'm ready to lift it, up it's gonna go!

This is kind of an iffy topic to discuss simply because of the great diversity in peoples needs and wants. Where a 2wd lifted truck may work fine for you, it's completely unpractical for my area. But that's just the difference between where I live and where you live, I can't get away with a 2wd, if I lived in cali I'd probly have a 2wd, but I don't. It really just depends on what you need/want, and everyone is different.

I don't think this is a discussion of if 2wd or 4wd is better. I was reading this as more of a duscussion of why anyone cares how you customize you vehichle.

Too me it would be kind of like picking on someone for getting race rims or a spoiler on a 4X4 "cause it should be for offroading". Bottom line, whatever options you got with your vehichle, for whatever the reasons may be, it's yours and do what you want to it.

I agree 100%... In all honesty I can take my 2wd with 35s ANYWHERE my buddies with 4x4 go. I have been stuck once, and that was in a clay hole up to my doors that I had no clue was there. Everybody talks mess about 2wds lifted and whatnot but at the end of the day it's still a truck. 2wd or 4wd it's still a truck! I usually have the last laugh at the end of the day, my lifts are cheaper, my insurance is cheaper, my truck is lighter, I get better mpg than my 4x4 buddies, and I don't have a whole other differential to worry about.
