I think if anyone wants to be seriously critical of of what you do to make your vehicle your own, then they should make the payments on it. Until they pony up the dough, they have no right to dump on your parade. No one's saying they have to like what you do with your truck - it is supposedly still a free country. But they don't have to attack a man's ride. You can say, "it's not my cup of tea" without offending anyone.

Just sayin'.

i think all trucks look good lifted as long as you put on bigger tires. i'm not crazy about lowered trucks, but there is no way i would bash anyones truck based on my taste. i can always find something about any truck, any brand and style and find something i like.

disclaimer: might have trouble finding something nice to say about "smart cars"

I pretty much agree with the masses. I have an 08 2wd (got it because it was cheaper.) I put a front leveling kit on and loove it. But I upgraded to a larger tire and just ordered a 3-3 spindle block kit. I got mine lifted and put larger tires on, not to try to be a poser, but because i use my truck. Until the lift I had got stuck by bottoming out, or going down a hill and my bull bar drug the ground and jacked it up. I don't do any hard offroading or anything, but I use it on the farm and hunting and stuff like that. Yes at the time if I could have afforded a 4x4 of course I would have got one, but the simple fact is at the time of purchase alot of people can't afford the extra 2 grand. I have had my truck for a year now and have little by little made it my dream truck. I know some people may say why don't you just wait a year and save your money and buy what you want. Well to all ye folk I say if I saved my money and bought a truck that I couldn't do anything else to I would sell it and buy something to play with because I would be bored out of my mind. After taking it down the strip a few times of course lol.

The only trucks I hate lately are the ones w/ a whole bunch of cheapo fake chrome type stuff from pep boys lol. Not a big fan of lowered truck but there are plenty of nice ones

I do have a 2WD Ram right now and the one before it was a lowered 2WD Ram, but before those I had a 4x4 Dakota and a 4x4 Tacoma. The only time I used the 4WD was when I was just out playing. Other than that I used the bed of the truck alot more than I used the 4wd. Alot of people have 2WD trucks because they have 4 wheelers, want to be able to throw an icechest in the back without getting an SUV's carpet nasty, haul firewood, etc. A truck comes in handy in many situations, not just in the muddy ones like the stereotype the truck holds. If I ever have another 4x4 truck it will be a little midsize that I have just for play, not as my daily driver.

Ok so I'm gonna chime in on this subject and rant a little with my 2 cents..
Haters are not car guys.. They are narrow minded people who don't see the value in what others see in there rides..... I can't speak for all of the folks on this board, but I got into cars/trucks because of my passion for them... The car culture is so wide spread and diverse, I mean where else or in what other world could a kid crankin hip hop in there riced out civic have something in common with a 60something year old with a fully restored Imperial enjoying the sounds of the chairman of the board, and actually have a conversation.. That's he type of thing that keep me car crazy (thanks Barry Meguiar lol!) Haters are usually jealous because they don't have a sweet ride like you do.... 2wd, 4wd, fwd, rwd, awd all have there place in this wacky world of cars... we all have reasons why we do what we do to our vehicles, and just because someone else doesn't understand the why or reason that's there bag to hold... I have my preferences but still enjoy someone else's passion for there ride... I don't like Fords one bit but I can't count how many times I've stopped at a car show because I wanted to check out a cool F150 or something... Haters are also the kinda people that make it possible for government to pass legislation like cash for clunkers.... They give car guys a bad name and hurt our hobby, and is why they tick me off... So to sum up this rant, don't sweat what others say if you want to build a pink ram 2500 with a V6, 10" lift, 30" Toyo Proxy st's on 24" dubs, an front wheel drive conversion... I say go for it... It's your ride, it's your passion, it's your vision an that's what makes it cool!!!!

Just happened upon this but 2WD lifted is cool. I think there's a class for that in the Baja 500 and the other desert races! Heck, I think old Ivan Stewart ran one...

It's all good!

I have no problem with a lifted 2WD. If you dont need or want 4x4, than why waste the money on it.
