Default muffler question, magnaflow

I just bought my 2012 ram outdoorsman with a hemi in it. Just wondering what part number is the magnaflow muffler for our truck. I had a mustang before with magnaflow magnapack catback but I've read here the catback is a waste.
Can we install magnapack muffler on this truck or is it just the magnaflow serie I can install ? Thanks all.

There are multiple magnaflow mufflers you can get put on the truck. It all depends on what size you're looking for. So part #'s will change depending on size. Also, are you looking for a single in/dual out or a single in/single out design? All of these things effect the part number you're going to be looking for. If you go to the magnaflow site you'll be able to find what you need. The shorter the size muffler the louder it will be. So the 14" will be the loudest and I believe they go up to 24".

I looked at the way the system is done, is it the back part at the end that is the muffler or the huge thing in the middle of the truck and I mean huge. Mine is a outdoorsman so I don't have the dual exit in the back, just one side exit. Is the exhaust 3in in and out or 2.5.
I want it to be loud so I guess I'd go with the 14in. Do you have the part number.

The part at the back end of the truck is the resonator. The muffler is more towards the middle and yes it is gigantic. With you not having the dual tips then you'll want the single in/single out. I'm not sure of the piping size on the 4th gen Rams but I believe it is 2.5". It may be 2.25" though, I don't remember.

11215 is the 14" SI/SO 2.25" piping
11216 is the 14" SI/SO 2.5" piping

If you've read the Magnaflow catback is a waste, then the resident village idiot must be whistling Dixie yet again.....

To start I love what you did with your custom exhaust it was incredible, but still waiting on the sound clip you promised... but really there was no need for that I understand you know exhaust but some people don't and there is no need for that, for some one that is just trying to get into the game like you were at some point... just remembered that every expert once started as a beginner at one point in time. And that is what forums are for.. give the guy a break at least he is trying. That being said it depends on the money you want to spend mufflex offers muffler kits that will replace the oem muffler with a magnaflow muffler and piping that will simply replace stock ranging for 14" the loudest to 24" th5 mildest depending upon your taste.

The problem is people are just too damn lazy to do a simple "search" that will address all their questions in about 90-percent of the times... this thread and its contents most certainly inclusive.

I tried a search but no results and browsed about 5 pages. My guess was that its 2.5in, the pipe is pretty big but not certain.
I'm leaning towards a magnapack muffler, I had those on my mustang and they sounded amazing but not sure what part number it is or the in and out I should order.
I don't want a catback, after reading it seems the stock exhaust is good enough for flow.
