Default some advice for a noob

Hey guys and gals, im new to the forum and looking for some advice from all willing to give it. A little background, about 2 months ago i bought a 2011 Dodge Ram Outdoorsman edition. While i like the sound of the truck i would like something a little more aggresive but not crazy. After going through the forums i think for now im just looking at getting just a muffler. I like what alot of you have to say about the Magnaflows. My question is, does Magnaflow make a muffler that is a simple remove and replace scenario? I will still have my local shop do it, as i want it done by someone who is fully qualified while trying to keep the cost reasonable. Any opinions and thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thx in advance for the help.

Hi and a warm Carolina welcome to the best RAM ForumZ on the web. How about dropping the Newbie Checkin and introducing yourself there and posting a few photos of your truck? I've had a MagnaFlo on my last truck and they do have a fairly straight forward system for our trucks. Good luck.

I have an 18inch and it really is not loud at all, there is some mild droning but you barely notice it. A 20 inch would also work if you don't want to annoy the people in the back.

A company called Mufflex in Jersey makes a straight swap kit for the Hemi. You simply unbolt your stock muffler and bolt in the new kit. The trouble is that they charge double what it costs to get just the muffler from Magnaflow. It is an easy process either way and I think you'll save money by having the shop do it.

Although I think the Outdoorsman has a single out exhaust so it may be slightly different. Hopefully someone with your truck can chime in.

Thx for the welcome Red and LeKy, you are correct, the outdoorsman has single out passenger side. Im hoping there is a magnaflow out there that has the nice rumble and snap im looking for that bolts right in with no mods to do so i can get it done one day while the wife is at work lol.

or you can go to any muffler shop and have flanges welded on so that you can unbolt and swap out anytime...
