Some have it just dump below the bumper or roll pan. Others have done it before the axle or after the axle. Its pretty common. Difference depends on location. It prob' be louder and more drone dumped before vs after the axle.

Here is mine.
Stock

Catback with exit before rear tires

Current - Dumped after the axle

I had Magnaflow on my 04 - single side exit - sounds nice outside but the cruising speed drone was too much. The TRX I just got has magnaflow with dual out the back, and like the 04, the drone is quite the buzz in my ears. A Corsa single side exit is going on it. If you don't mind the noise, the magnaflows sound good. Corsas sound pretty good too. I imagine this is like the 80th exhaust thread, but this one looked current, so there's my .02.

Personally I like the Dynomax Exhaust systems. They have reasonable prices and do not rust out as quickly as the flowmasters.

heading in tuesday to exhaust shop and not sure what to do yet. i have the single out magnaflow with no tailpipe. love the sound and will stay with magnaflow. want to do something a little different and not just straight out the rear. hope to use my current muffler and see what can be done. was thinking out the side before the rear tire. this shop is MUFFLEX and they're pretty talented so will post pics after tuesday.

Ive got Flowmaster Super 44's on my trucks. Im happy! They're loud when your foots in it and quiet when your not. With not alotta inside resonance. I think the trick on my Hemi is to can the resontors and run a Y pipe. Its got that " The Devils comin down the road sound" Thats the sound i like.
