Default transmission question

Ok guys i had a 96 dodge ram and 02 hemi ram, both had transmission problems at about 40000 miles. i have an 05 gmc now and i really want a new dodge ram.

can any one please tell me that the rams do not have tranny problems any more. and what type of problems seem to be the norm for the new ones.

i will have to say that my GMC has not had any problems but i want a dodge but i do not need the problems

The 46RE that you had in your previous models is no longer used. The 545RFE transmission is much improved and has greater reliability with comparably fewer problems. Lack of proper maintainence and heat are the two biggest transmission killers regardless of brand.

Yes I would have to agree the 46RE's were horrible . Looks like the new ones are much better .
