I think the price you are getting for all of the stuff is pretty much what it should be. I would definitely get the spray on bedliner, I have it done on my truck. I really like it, nothing moves at all back there and it protects it very well. You can throw anything at it and it holds up perfectly. The protection package is pretty cool and it would make a good addition to the truck.

Buy a 1500 SLT Quad Cab 4x4 and looking to get things done before picking it up, but not getting robbed in the process.

Also they will buy and install a Class IV receiver (OEM) for $250

Last question, is the protection package worth it? tow hooks, and skid plates (I think suspension and transfer case) for $195 installed?

I value yours opinions.

Here's the thing. If you have the dealer add that stuff on before you do the financing, the cost gets spread out over the life of the loan vs paying cash or high interest credit card.

Isn't the bedliner another plastic, preformed shell that sits in the bed but is covered with a durable, fabric covered material? I'm not sure if that's the direction I'd like to go. Line X or similar product seems to be the most durable for the life of the vehicle. (I say that now) Not sure how kneeling in a Line X bedliner would be either though.

I think I'll pass on the options and just get the truck and do my shopping afterwards. After all, I am very capable of doing the installs on what I'm looking at.

One question though, is there a "foot step" that will flip down so I can get into the bed easier?

Ask them for the grand tour & also what they can do for you
Look at the bedrug too, http://www.bedrug.com/experience/movie.php

Make the truck truly yours, shop around

Line-X cost me $500 around here... I am happy with it so far, but I havent even put it to use yet, but I hear great things. Also a lifetime warranty is nice.

Chrome bug deflector, never on my truck!

Mudflaps, there are quite a few options out there.

All 3 for $699? Doesn't sound too great to me.

Class IV receiver, installed for $250? If you dont want to bother doing it yourself, ask them to throw in a hitch and ball and jump on it, lol.

The protection package sounds like a good deal, although this is up to you. How often do you think you will be needing it? If you dont mind spending some cash, go for it, it cant hurt. Me personally, I was using my tow hooks the first week I had my truck
