Default V10 Engine Rebuild? Fun? Power?! Suggestions?

Hello there everyone. Got a 98 Ram 2500 v10 4x4 and right now I have the motor in pieces in my garage. Just felt like making a monster one day. So first thing is Cam!!!! Comp Cams 98-325-10 is what I'm going to go with. Then some forged pistons (if i can find them) and I guess I'll keep the compression ratio @ 8.4 :1 since I'm going to put 2 turbos on it. One on each bank. I'm going to go with a ram air hood for forced induction. With 10 pound turbos I think that's all the heads will handle? Any suggestions would be cool. Let's hear em I'm new to this. Will I need bigger fuel injectors if so where could I find them.

The heads will handle the boost, run a copper gasket. I'd be more worried with the bottom end...

Injectors can be sourced from Hughes Performance.

You'll likely have to run a stand-alone ECU to run the thing, but the stock ECU should be able to handle 5-7psi with a tune (also Hughes, or Hemifever, SCT is the way to go).

Good luck, keep us posted!

Okay so I'm ordering that Cam I posted from Comp Cams. Going to put that in. I can keep the stock rollers? They seem good. I think I'll keep the same rods and lifters. When I get the head work done should I have it ported or anything?

CAM - yes, yes, and oh yeah!

Rockers - keep stock, but consider new tighter springs.

Porting - if you/machinist can safely do it, I don't see why not?

What I always recommend is intake manifold (if available), cam & pulleys (yes, they're worth it), headers, and a tuner. That combo always seems to yield the most bang for your buck.

Just wondering, are you doing anything to upgrade transmission?

Yes. Good friends with a guy who does trannys. He will rebuild it for me. I know nothing about them. I'm also going to install a Torque Converter lockup switch for when I take it mudding. Any suggestions on headers for this motor? Lol. Also have to figure out how I will get turbos on it.

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,ca...Valve%2BSpring

Top listing seems to be exact on the specs of my valve springs. Bottom one seems to be different?

http://dodgeram.org/tech/gas/specs/8_0v10.htm THese are my specs.

Any suggestions? Still not sure what all I should replace. Getting heads machined. Crank machined, new bearings for it. Ordered new camshaft and bearings for it. Any and all suggestions!!

So crank got machined to .030 under or something. It was pretty bad. Taking the block in to get checked. It needs boiled anyway. Might bore it out if there are any scars. Machine shop is also doing the heads for me. Camshaft just got here from crower. Got to order bearings for it.
