looking to do a cam on the bee. Whos got the best price for one? and what kind of cams are out there? what kinda gains can I expect with a cam in these hemis? thanks!

well first off welcome . To answer your question we need more info about your truck. Is you truck 4x4 or 4x2? To answer your second question well matters what you want. To answer your third question well krc or (Watson Performance Engineering. ) as everyone know it. there comp cams there arrington , Inertia makes a lot different kind and also sharadon makes different cams there probably more that just what i know off the top head. The last question i do not know I have to see when my cam goes in maby chefred112 and other people can help you with that

Its alway best to call a cam company and talk to a tech, tell them all your specs and they will walk you through the best options. A cam is somthing you dont want to get wrong, talk to the pros

ya well tell us what you want to do you want it mds friendly? you want it to still be able to tow? there a lot involved i personally went with the krc210x cam because i a 4x4 and quad cab

Its a 4x2, jus lookin for nice streetable performance. would like to get into the low 13s eventually. I do not have MDS just a normal hemi. later mods to include long tube headers, diablo. I already have a cheap CAI and a straight pipe.

hmmm i know alot about the 4x4 cams i have to learn about the cams that are good for the 2wd. i mean sidewinder cam is good. or crazy jay. It just how deep you want to go with it

Before I would get to deep in the cam selection I would find a good Chrysler/Dodge engine tuner. It's not going to be very driveable, if at all depending on how radical the cam is, untill the engine has a custom tune flashed in your pcm. Finding someone that knows what they are doing with a ngc computer and has the software to do it is not easy. There are several dyno shops in my area, but they do not do Chrysler/Dodge custom tunes. I recommend Hemifever. He did a super job for me over the internet!!! Of course it dosen't take much new technology to impress an old fart like me!

I'd do the headers along with the cam so you only have to retune once.

everyone here failed to mention the supporting mods

if you do not have a converter i would do a krc 210x on a 108 lsa or 110lsa cause you can get the the horsepower and torque in the lower rpms

if your going to go with a converter like an edge 2600 or circle d 2600 and up then i would go with a comp 268 its a proven cam hemifever has tuned many of these and they are easy to find used

im partial to my comp 216 but good luck finding those
