Mileage XS first tank was about 380 interstate and 60 mixed between lower speed/stop and go. Part of the 380 was with a head wind/cross wind. Average 19.1 mpg, which isnt bad, but isn't really any better than what I have been getting. Head wind may have made it lower. Im going to the leave the XS tune on as I have another road trip next week.

Did two more tanks with the XS tune. Mostly 75mph interstate with a little bit of local stop and go. Each tank average 19.5.

93 Tune is on now.......

Thanks for the update. A bit disappointing that the MPG tune makes so little difference. How does the MPG tune perform vs. stock and vs. regular 87 tune? I wonder if dodge just really geared it's stock tune to MPG so much that there is little more to be gained.

I have a 55 mile round trip to work and I travel a fair amount for work. Most of my tanks are majority highway and I've been averaging 19-19.5 stock, which is fine by me. I only had the 87 tune on for a couple tanks and they were in the 19-19.5 range. My highest average was just over 20mpg and I've only hit that once.

Right, I get that ... what I meant was, if the MPG doesn't change much between these three tunes, how much difference is there in the other performance (torque, etc.)? You already stated there is a lot of difference in from stock to 87 tune, how about stock to MPG tune or MPG and 87 tune?

ahhh gotcha

MPG is similar to stock powerwise, slightly more powerful around town. I don't like the MPG tune on the highway as the passing power is similar to stock, which is disappointing in my book.

87 is better than stock in all areas and is my favorite so far. I havent put many miles on the 93 tune yet, but I will update and compare.

i used the performance tune on my 98 ram and i love it, it peels tires a lot easier, way more torque and the throttle response is much better, increase of 0-60 around .7 or .9 seconds which is pretty decent.

So I ran the 93 tune and the 87 tune back to back, each on a tank of my normal driving. Around town, I can't tell the difference between the two. At WOT, the 93 tune definitely has more power. The 87 tune tank was a full 1 mpg better than the 93. Just got back from a highway road trip with the 87 tune and average 19.5mpg, which was the same as the best mileage I got with the Mileage XS.

87 tune is the one I will be sticking with.
