Well what's the truth about this? I was going to buy one tonight....I've read that if you put the factory tune back they'd never know....now I read this. Need to know the for sure, I don't want it detected and void the warranty.....dealer scare tactic or real deal? thanks

That's what my dealer's service manager said. You should probably call your dealer service manager. But, Looks like this topic has been highlighted before.. http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=49072

Ramtech even chimed in and said the same thing.

For me... it is not worth it to lose any part of my power-train warranty and potentially spend thousands on a repair just to gain 15-20 horsepower. I will spend my money on other mods. My HEMI is very powerful as it is and I am personally happy with it. You can do what you like, just beware that there may be repercussions. Now, I must add, when the power-train runs out, I will most likely be ordering a tuner!

Hey, thanks for the info...and the link. I guess I'll wait till my warranty runs out. So what if I do change my battery out, will it show "0" or reset? What's the difference to them then? Will I have to defend myself? How could they prove it if it was a tuner or changing a battery? Expanding on that...it seems like with technology today...radar detectors, radar detector detectors..radar detectors that hide from detector detectors..lol ...and people hacking into anything etc... they could come out with a tuner that would not reset the info to "0" ...it should take the original info and put it back exactly or insert some info/number so that it doesn't show it possibly had a tuner on it... Are you listening Diablo..?

My thoughts exactly! I was a computer programmer for several years, still do on occasion, and it seems the stock tuning parameters could be logged and reinserted when needed... guess not. Also, check this out, from Diablo's Policy info... See option 3 (the Disclaimer). I know they have to protect themselves, but they know something's up obviously... http://www.diablosport.com/index.php...isplay&pid=116

Hmmm... maybe we can shave 2 years off the wait... Read the warranty policy, doesn't sound too bad.

I pull my tune off when I bring it in never have had a problem only when they work on it sometimes it comes back running worse ? they updated something last time and it idle really bad or maybe it was the 91 oct in it. retuned it and runs great ! did note that a electric fan came on now it turns out it was the a.c. cooling fan ! so when I went into the tune and check the temp to go on was 235 degree went and set to 200 much better and dua the a.c. runs alittle cooler now ! still cant get the idle to go up 100rpms the tuner ended up turning it up in the defrose strange . cant get my new 4.10 s axle to stop humming 50 to 70 mph ? was told to change to reg 90 w to make it better maybe try it soon and see what the grears look like aftere 6000 miles on the grears well sorry so long but been awhile just love my truck and this sight !
