Ram44 is on a distinguished road
Default So, reliability

Just reading whatever I can get my hands on and came across this quote in US News:

While all of that sounds like good news for Ram buyers, the Ram's reliability is what keeps reviewers from recommending it wholeheartedly. Still, if you can deal with a less-than-stellar predicted reliability rating, the Ram has a lot to offer, including an upscale interior, some of the best performance in the class, and macho styling that fits the full-size pickup class to a tee.

I understand that all trucks and all manufacturers have issues. What I want is some honest feedback on any issues you have had. Still trying to decide between Titan and Ram. Ram still has the edge.

Looks like the article in your link the Titan got a lower overall rating and the same reliability rating as the Ram. They Chevy's had an N/A in reliability.

I'm going to go through the article in detail, but don't have time right now.

I include the Titan because I owned a first year model and really liked that truck with no problems that I remember.

reliability is more from previous model years, not the new models. Its a predicted reliability based off previous years

Ok, now that I've finished my dinner and had a chance to read through that article, all I saw about reliability was JD Power's "predicted" rating.

So I guess its really a matter of like/dislike. For me, the Ram wins hands down.

One thing to keep in mind is that Chrysler offers the best extended warranty in the business. Here's a couple of posts I did about extended warranties. You may find them useful.

If you want a very reliable vehicle, consider something like a freightliner, mack, peterbilt, etc. 20 years ago I purchased a basic Nissan "hardbody" 1/4 ton pickup. I didn't even get it off the lot before the fuel gauge stopped working.

I have only been stranded in Honda's, Fords, and Nissans. GM and Chrysler have never let me down.

Of course, you know how opinions go. I now look at the dealer before purchasing a vehicle. They can make or break any vehicle, especially in doing a quality Pre-delivery inspection.

One more thought-GM and Chrysler were given a lifeline. They know they need to be world class, or give up. They know the herculean task ahead of them, and I am sure will do the best to demonstrate they were worth it.

how about 150,000 miles of nothing but brutal full throttle hell, and the worst problem being it needing an update of the cooling system (everything)...and it'll still lay the rubber down.

That right there tells me how great Chrysler vehicles must be

So, if they're anything like the 90s trucks, then, expect a great truck.

I agree with Brian, it seems to be a matter of whether the particular person reviewing the vehicle likes it or not. A few years ago, I was researching a vehicle I was going to buy (and ended up doing so) and it was tough to find an article that actually had anything positive to say. Whereas, I actually test drove a different model that had extremely positive reviews, yet I wasn't satisfied with it. Have you test driven them yet? Bottom line, you can read all there is to read but they're only putting their spin on their own opinion.
