Default 2010 RAM w/ QUADs HID Install

I wanted HIDs and have seen some success stories and some horror stories on the forums. There are dozens of places that sell kits, some better than others I would suspect. I wanted something that worked. I ordered a HID kit from retro-sollutions and installed it. I ordered a 55w 6000K kit. I also have the relay harness and a pre-wired capacitor.I will say that the instructions provided are pretty lack luster. I managed to figure it all out and get things going. I will say that the light output is amazing. I did not have any blinking, flickering, or on/off issues. I do get some very marginal TMPS RF interferance every so often. I will try putting some ferrite around the ballast outputs to see if it helps. I have attached a few pictures. 1 is the cutoff of the HID lo beams, 2 is the cutoff of the HID LOs w/ the Halogen HIs and 3 is the factory halogen fog cutoff. Not bad for a non-projector setup. I have a 3000K kit ordered for the fogs. I will install that this weekend and snap a few more pics. I also plan to install the Nokya Hyper Yellow 2500K halogens for the highs. (Just an FYI for the Cajuns, NON-WHITE headlights are illegal in Louisiana.) I'll take my chances. I'm hoping the 55W HID lo's will help wash out the yellow hi's.

Definitely a noticeable difference, looks great! Nice job and thanks for the pics! Good to know non white is illegal though, despite the fact there are sooooo many of them on the road here and personally, the blue/purple ones annoy me when driving at night.

6000k is not blue but it looks blue though. That is bright.

Ok so im a little confused. Some people are saying that I won't need anything with the hid kit and it will work fine and others are saying I will need a flicker kit. Then others are saying I just need a 55flicker watt kit and it will work without any flickering. So can someone give a definite answer on what exactly I need to do or which kit to buy for the proper installation on my ram.

You will require error code eliminators for your low beams and hi's if you throw those to HID. The 4th gens all require them. It can be done numerous ways and will depend on which vendor you get your HID's from. If you need more help we are here to answer questions!

So which kit would y'all recommend keep in mind I have to keep it reasonable due to the wifes anger factor with upgrading lol. I did manage to install the fogs with no problems and they look good. Thanks for the help. Glad to be a recovering Chevrolet owner/ victim.
