Default Oil Change and Quick Change Valve

Did my first change today at 4900, Mobil 1 Synthetic and K&N filter. Also installed the Quick Change Valve, kinda nervous about leaks so, wimpy me put a couple tie wraps on it! But all the reviews say no worries, maybe just overly cautious.

I need to get these. I ever can remember what size wrench between the ram, my commuter and my wife's car. i always end up with a pile of wrenches on the floor. And from the looks of it, I could avoid hot oil running down my arm.

Yes, the Fumoto valve, YAY!!!! no more hot oil on my hands, no more drain plug in the pan. All the reviews I could find were positive, I'm just over cautious with the tie wraps, may do the hose clamp thing now that I read what came with it.

I have the Fumoto Valve on my 2006 Charger RT 90,000 no leaks, I aslo had one on the dakota,

I will be getting on for the Ram.

It has a nice detent so it shouldnt spring loose, but a zip tie is a good security measure.

according to the chart, yes. But call and ask the guy and he'll set you straight. Make sure you get the one with the nipple I believe it would be #F106N. I just stuck a polypropelene hose onto the fitting with a hose clamp and it worked great. I just bent the hose into a loose cable tie and leave it on all the time.

Here is mine before install onto oil pan:

The spring loaded on/off valve will not open by accident and drain your oil. Its snug and secure.

For the 5.7L the valve is F106 and if you want the drain valve with the extension nipple it is F106N. I bought the F106N but take the hose and pan with me when draining the oil. Why didn't someone think of this sooner. I have had vehicles that have to drain on the engine guard or the oil gets on the struts, etc. This makes it real easy.
