Default 5" tips

Does ANY other company besides Mufflex make a 5" tip that bolts right up to the factory ball and socket connectors used in the 14' Ram factory Duals?

Not that I have seen. I did a lot of looking and searching for different 5" tips and other than welding adapters and tips together this was I think the best option and best looking.

That's what I was afraid of. It's not that the Mufflex tips aren't nice, because the are, its just I like to have options.

I to like to have some options to choose from but on this one there is not many. Buying tips and adapters and than taking it all to have it welded wasn't going to be a big enough savings for me that also led me to go with the mufflex tips.

I would be on board with the Mufflex tips if they made the actual 5" part a bit longer. They look exactly like the stock tips form the side, which I hate due to how short they are.

The 5" part is a little on the short side but they work for me. I more so like how they fill out the cutout bumper and the sound is a good enough improvement for me. I didn't want anything that would be to loud.

What improvement in sound did you notice? I wasnt sold an extra inch in diameter would make any audible improvement..

At approx only 4" long I doubt that the mufflex 5" tips change the sound from the stubby oem 4" tip's. When I changed out my tip's to 5"X12" long they deepened the exhaust tone a little.

It is definitely louder on startup and when getting on it. Tone is a little deeper but I'm sure not as much as if it were longer 5" tips, IMO.
I'm no expert by any means on this stuff but maybe since the stock pipes are long 2.5" tube (I think) to where the tips are welded on and the BSM tips gradually go to 5" tips, might have something to do with it?

I know exhaust questions like this are personal opinions and probably all answers will be different from others. I know from what I have done to my truck, the difference in sounds and tones. I added the mopar intake first and noticed the sound difference (obvious there). Then I added the 14" magnaflow muffler and again noticed the sound difference. Lastly added the BSM 5" tips and noticed a difference in the sound. Tone is a little deeper and is louder, I have neighbors 3-4 houses down from me and they say they know when I'm leaving cause they here my truck startup (they are inside).

Overall I am pleased with how my truck sounds... Louder and a little deeper tone and a lot better sounding than most other trucks around me that have spent big time $$$$ on there setup. Even my supervisor, a Ford guy and definitely not RAM, said my RAM sounds 100x better than his sons 2013 F150 with dual exhaust ($$$$).

Here is a before and after pic of the tips...
