Default Poor Bluetooth connection - Where is the Bluetooth antenna?

I seem to have a problem with the Bluetooth connection in my Ram. I have the Uconnect and have paired my phone. When I use the Uconnect, I leave the phone in the center console. The bluetooth connection intermittently cuts out to the point that it's a hassle to use. I currently have the Samsung Fascinate on Verizon but have noticed it with other devices as well (all Verizon). Anyone know what to do to fix the problem or know where the bluetooth antenna is so I can put the phone right by the antenna?

More often than not the cutting out is not the bluetooth connection. Its the phones signal with the network.

Nice thing about bluetooth is its an either/or thing. It either works or it doesn't. Is your phone on the Uconnect compatible list? If not, you'll only get basic capability (make and receive calls).

I have had the same problem, but it only is weak approx. 5% of the time. I deleted my phone from the pairing list, then paired again. It seems to work better. I didn't have this prob. at all on my `07 SRT Jeep. Makes you want to put the phone infront of a smoking tire though!

Forgot to ask, is the phone inside the center console or outside it? If its outside sitting in the tray then you have other issues. If its inside the console, take it out and see what happens.

I can connect to Uconnect with my iPhone from 45 feet away outside the truck so it shouldn't be a problem in the console

I have the bucket seats with the shift level in the center, not on the steering column. When I have it connected, I leave it in the open compartment right next to the shifter, not inside the console itself.

I'm going to call the UConnect customer service tomorrow.

if you are using a APPLE product, like the Iphone4, thats your problem, cuss them out in a 5 page email, call them every damn name in the dictionary

i would try to pair it again, i have a verizon blackberry and have never had connection problems except when i have a low signal already due to the network being out of range. the only real "problem" i have is the uconnect shows a lower battery strength than what is on my phone, i just plug it into the battery charger and everything is fixed.

One thing you have to keep in mind if your calling uconnect. The U-Connect customer support only handles non-navigation radios. The U-Connect in the My-Gig nav is a completely different u-connect and it is handled through chrysler and not u-connect. Not to mention the u-connect customer support wont ask if you have a nav radio so they will feed you information that is not correct to the nav radio. One other fact, the non-nav radios have a different compatability list then the nav radios.
