Default Magnaflow 18" Exhaust installed with my feedback

So I know exhaust is a popular topic and it took me a while to make a choice. After driving my self crazy with research, video clips, etc I finally just went with the magnaflow 18" universal one in dual out muffler.I kept things simple and just swapped out the stock muffler with the magnaflow. left everything else factory including the resinators. I did deciede to go with a weld fit instead of clamps to avoid leaks.Everything in total costed me 300 hundred w/shipping parts and labor most of the cost was for the muffler its self. I am very happy with the sound. Deeper and smoother tone and not to loud exspecially in the cab. I nice in between from the 24 and the 14. I think the 24 would be a little to quiet now that I have the 18 to listen to live. very hard to tell from videos. If your looking for a little extra sound without altering your entire exhaust system, I was very happy going this route. Sorry for the long post just figured I would throw my 2 cents in to help anybody confused on witch exhaust to go with. FYI my favorite is when I first start her up and you get that quick high rev, sounds awesome w/ the magnaglow.

How much was the labor on the install? I'm considering doing the same that you did just with the 24"

I am in Ny and they charged me 140 to install and they customed welded it and that included whatever extra piping was needed. You can get it cheaper if you have it clamped on but I wanted to avoid leaks and a sturdier hold. I also kept my old muffler incase I had to reinstall it down the road for some reason. I got the muffler straight from magnaflow and it cost me 180 with tax and shipping.

Thanks for this info, I've been thinking about going this route as well. Do you think the 14 would be much louder than the 18? I am on the fence between the two. I have a reg. cab and don't want it to be to loud in the cab.

The 18" isnt super loud in my opinion I probbally could of gotten the 14 but wasnt sure if it was going to be to loud so I just played it safe. I also have a crew cab so I think the cabin noise is a lot less then it would be in a reg cab, just something to keep in mind. With the 18 it sounds great when you hit the gas and when u let off its nice and quiet in the cab even with the radio off.

Nice upgrade. I have actually been waiting for someone local to get one. I am in the same boat as far as which to get the 18 or 14. I am leaning towards the 14, just afraid it will be to much. I would love to meet up one day and hear it in person. I think it would help my decsion.

I've been trying to decide on the 14" and 18" too. I wish I could hear them side by side in person. That would definitely help hahah.
