Default I have a question. Which is really baffling

Ok I look at the window sticker on the new vehicles. And wonder. Say for instance ya take a laramie, that has the leather seats(wich is in the base package)first line or two explains it comes with these seats as a stock option. Why are they then listed later down the line as an upgrade? If ya list they items motor seats blah blah blah on that base price. Why in the break down is the dealer getting additional money for what is explained on the first part? Someone please educate me.

Could be leather seats are standard but the leather seats with memory could be an option, as an example.

Not even Leather. I was looking at a bighorn and it listed premium cloth seats in the first part with base price, then in the features Premium cloth seats for 920 I believe.

My window sticker (yes I still have it) says:

Standard: 40/20/40 Split bench seat.
Option: Premium cloth bucket seats
floor-mounted automatic shift lever.

there are different seats, there are cloth bench seats meaning all cloth (premium), then there are cloth seats with leather trim (premium). Both seats listed are said to be premium cloth but one has leather trim bench seats. If you also look at the dodge website it states that the extra 925 is for bucket seats not a bench seat. In order to really see the difference i would go to a local dealership and have them show you how they are different from each other. There are three different options for seats in the big horn and each has its own accessories included. hope this helps

Way I understand that is, the first part of the list is what comes standard on the vehicle from the factory for that trim level. The rest are upgrades the dealer ordered on it, which usually come as a package of options. For example, you'll see security package, then the price, then the list of options included in that.

Thanks. Bamasports make s alil sense. As for the package I see what ya say BUT the items llisted should all be included in the package when listed this time it said seats and had price. I also saw a sticker wich listed the hemi 5.7 in base and was charged again in the sticker. Just seems odd when ya see these things because they of course then add to the final total. Next time I'm there I'll take pics <G>

Yeah, I still have my window sticker, I'll have to go look after a while and see, but I believe mine looks as I mentioned earlier.

i think if i am understanding this correctly, is what cajun said. each truck has different options depending on the trim level but when the dealer puts the sticker on, it shows the base model with options, then lists all upgrades and the prices of them options, i believe that all the prices listed are already included into the msrp of the truck such as the 5.7L. You are not getting charged double, it is just showing the price of the 5.7 because it is an upgrade from the standard 4.7 but like i said it is already included into the big horn trim level that is why the msrp of the big horn is more expensive than just an SLT.
