Default cup holder rattle - any ideas?

The cup holder on my 06 has an annoying rattle. When the compartment is closed shut, or open with no drinks or water bottles, there is no rattle. Put one drink cup or water bottle in one of the cup holders and there may or may not be a rattle. Put a cup or bottle in each of the cup holders and there will definitely be a rattle.

Any solutions to this problem?

Pull out the cup holder or center section, look for areas it may be rubbing or loose and try some light velcro or electrical tape at those areas.
