i recently put a manual trans in my 96 ram and it was a 46 re the driveshafts are the same the trans mount is the same and the transfer case is the same. the slave cylinder master cylinder and lines are one prebled unit aftermarkets splice in and can be bled. the bell housing is part of the nv3500 used in half tons. the crank sensor is different on the manuals and the tone sensor for the crank sensor is built on the flywheel. i looped the wire for neutral saftey so it can start all the time. my 95 has the clutch switch wiring in an auto but the 96 doesnt. the swap is easy i just need the ecm reflashed with clutch switch disengaged it will not idle unless moving in neutral(must sense speed) there is no wiring for an automatic on a 5spd harness so this swap wouldnt be easy like people say way more involved. and oh yeah the pedal assemblys are the same just need the brake and clutch pedal it takes like 20 minutes to swap them. do the swap if thats what u want its awesome
