ok im retarded nevermind it has the plug, I just needed the cable. I did notice on the upper glove box, there is a little plug in the upper left that goes to a dormant plastic plate, but it has wires, any idea what this is?

Default iPod

I had the same problem. There is a USB plug in the glove compartment which will accept the standard iPod cable, except for the iPhone 4. That is a problem since I recently switched from the iPhone 3G. I have contacted Chrysler, uConnect and Apple, and there is supposedly a new software in the works. My best guess is it might be December before we can use the iPhone 4 for music or internet radio--right now even a plain cable won't work from the headphone jack out, never mind streaming audio (A2DP). The Bluetooth phone via uConnect does work, however, but without the phonebook.
If anyone has more information, plus let us know.

The plug in the glovebox sounds like the lead to the iPod connection at the back of the head unit. Some folks have experienced a problem with initialization and charging with new iPods and iPhones. Those with older units have had no problems. I'd try that connection with your unit and check the operation.

You can use the double end 3.5mm jack one end in the head phone on iphone/ipod the other end into the truck radio. The USB in that area will keep it charged if you plug that in. Im sure the 2011 are like the 2010 and have the iphone/ipod jack and cable in the top glove box. You can then connect it and run it off the truck controls. It should run of the AUX tab. I have and iphone 4 and it works in my truck. Personally I use the 3.5mm jack that way I dont have to reach halfway across the truck to get my phone.

No its weird, I found the plug for the ipod, its basically a USB cable. If you open the top glove box and in the upper left you will see a ghost panel with no switch on it, but there are defintely wires running to it...just didnt know what that was.

Mine has an actual plug in the upper left corner of the top glove box. My truck came with the cable that plugs into it. The other end is a standard Ipod connector and plugs right into my Itouch. My Itouch charges and I can select songs/albums right from the head unit. My head unit is the Media Centre 130 (RES). I believe the part number for the cable needed is 82210848AB.

I have and 11 sport and I had that same problem I thought you had to order a cable but all you have to do is use a standard ipod cable that comes with every ipod then plug it into the usb in the glove box then wait a few second till the radio recognizes it and it will be under aux. then devices and you can control the ipod directly from the radio.
