I Spoke with my "dealership" they told me the ipod cable that functions 100% is an "upgrade" you have to pay for. 34-40$. I have seen some people state that their dealerships will extchange the cable for free thru the warranty stuff.. mine however, did not. You can check with your dealership to see. I said no thanks, since I spent enough money with them if they want to charge me extra for a 40$ cable, I'll just use my HDD in the radio. 30gigs of music is plenty for any 4 weeks of traveling without hearing the same song twice. It would have been nice to have ALL the features available including "Charging".

Good luck with your endeavors.

That is the adaptor for the ipod/iphone cord/cable. The Iphone/Ipod sits in the glovebox and you can control it through your truck controls. If you get pulled over you can show the officer that it is not even near you if you live in a state that has anti-phone/texting laws while you drive.

it just uses the original iphone cord that you normally charge it with.. plug it into the upper glove box then make sure your phone has the bluetooth turned on.. press the uconnect button and say setup.. then follow the instructions.. then go back to your phone under bluetooth and select "connect to Uconnect".... if you are trying to play music off your phone then you push the "Media" button than select "ACC" and it should work without even being plugged in now.. you might have to select the album and stuff using your phone but you might just be able to use the truck deck to access all the songs.. i just got mine so i haven't had too much time to fool around with it yet.. hopefully that helps
