I love what I'm reading on the mpg. I have only 500 miles on my new 2010 Ram Hemi and took a 200 mile trip last weekend and averaged 16.7 mpg running about 74 mph. I have been told that the mpg will improve after I have a few thousand miles on the truck. Have y'all experienced that to be true?

Is this evic readings or hand calculation at fillup? I know the evic isen't always 100% accurate. Might be over or under based on conditions. Also I don't have that evic readout on the ST so I have no comparison.

I don't have 4wd but I was getting about 19.5 at average of 60mph on a dailey 50 mile commute with no stops. Dropped to about 16.5 with about the same commute but at 75mph and a bed rack. Back up to about 18mpg at 75mph with my CAI. Don't know yet with the new exhaust.

The 16.7 mpg I posted earlier on my 200 mile trip was hand calculated and not the on-board computer. So, I know it is an accurate figure. I do hope I get better once I have more miles on the engine.

Want some fun? Get on the flat interstate at 65mph in cruise and reset the evic. Wow, it's easy to get 26+++ mpg.
When talking mpg, only one way! Miles driven devided by gallons used. Any other talk is just wishing!!!

Yes. I have gone from 14.5 early on to very nearly 17 MPG (calculated - Mixed city/highway driving). I have near 16k miles on the clock now and the MPG's improve nearly every tank (although not as much as before).

When I moved from south to north florida I towed about a 6X10 trailer back and forth 3 times (should have rented a moving truck). I got about 12.5 but I have the 4.7L.
