I too like Valvoline synthetic!
I believe this is true also as a lot of auto parts stores stopped carrying royal purple around here and before they took it off their shelves they had signs up saying that royal purple didn't meet ASE standards or something like that.

You didn't look very hard. bobistheoilguy.com. Try looking for viscosity test for Royla Purple. This is a thirty second search!!!

I know three people who spun their bearings using this oil. It just breaks down with heat and the following loss of viscosity does the damage.

Valvoline Synthetic can be expensive, especially at Autozone. I found the cheapest way is to buy a 5 quart from Walmart ($25) then 2 more... its like $29 or so for the 5 quart at autozone, and like $1.50 more per quart! Eff that! lol

I use RP and have no problems, its dyno proven by many independant groups to increase horse power, not as much as some wicked australian brand but still impressive results.

Castrol Edge is my favorite. problem is you have to order 5w20 from my store. we dont stock it. but i can handle the two day wait i just plan ahead. lol. Edge backs their oil up for 15,000 mile/ one year oil changes.

its also improve horsepower(this id done due to reducing the loss of power through friction)

I also use a K&N oil filter.

oilchange runs between 60-80$ not bad all things considered.

some of these links are amsoil dealers and that means i cant take it serious. i prefer to watch dyno videos especially out of country. RP isnt the best but damn good. Edge is still my favorite though but i use RP in the truck and she runs like a champ with it.
