Default Hitch drop???

Hello all and good night! I have searched this subforumn and couldn't find an answer. I am looking to see how much of a hitch drop I should get to pull a trailer?

I have a 2010 Laramie 4x4 crew cab stock ride height.

4"......... 5"?

Depends on the type of trailer, and how high that sits. You want it to be level with your hitch as much as possible.
I have 4 hitches, 5 1/2, 3 1/2, straight, and my load leveling hitch that has an 11 inch drop. Wait I have 5 I also have a 10 inch I believe. The straight, 11 and 10 are all 10K hitches too.

I have this..It's pretty fancy but makes it easy to hitch by myself.

Like werm said...it depends. I determined mine by leveling the trailer, backing up to it and measuring from the C/L of the receiver to the ball center. I came close with what I needed at the UHaul store.
