Default Torque Converters - what you running?

Let's hear'em, what TQ you running? Post the good, bad and awesome! I want to do a TQ but want to pick the right stall all for my daily driver that goes to the strip on weekends.

If you tow or go off road you should probably stay with a 2600. 2800 is a good all around TQ for the street and strip. 3000-3400 if you're serious about the strip. Talk to Matt at Moe's Performance, I think he can give you some great first hand info. I think he has a 3400 in his RCSB and last I heard he went a 12.49 just with bolt on's a tune and tires.

This thread greatly interests me, for my engine I'm building (408 stroker) should I use the stock 1800 because the powerband already is fairly good there or get a 22-2600 to plant it firmly in the main part of the band.....

They have a OEM R/T torque converter at a dealership not to far away from me. I might go pick it up; and the best part it will Not void my warranty. But, it's $800
2600 stall and get to keep my warranty sounds good to me. Really wanted a 2800-3000 tho. My warranty is more important and worth the extra $.
