Default In need of more "Gallop'' under my hood!!

Hello to all and thanks up front for your advice, It is greatly appreciated!!

So i just got my 08 1500 with the 3.7 engine and am in need a couple more horses under my hood.. I was told an intake and exhuast will give me a couple.... a throtle body as well .. and ive been looking around and there are some "chips" that claim to give more horse power and torque as well... fortunatly enough, im part of this awesome forum and look foward to expertizzzze advice!! thanks again!!

There are no "chips" or programmers out there for the 3.7 that are worth the money. A CAI and exhaust will help some, but don't look for huge gains. I haven't seen any throttle bodies for the 3.7 but if you find one, let me know.

So what your telling me is im stuck with a really nice truck with under 300 horses? Thats what i was aiming for... is there anything that would bring me closer to that??.. and you said there are no throttle bodies... would a t.b. spacer help at all?

The general concensus from people in here that have TB spacers is that they are a waste of money. I don't see you hitting that 300 HP mark without using some form of forced induction.

Hey randy, by forced induction, do u mean like a supercharger or turbo? and lol.. would a 4.7 TB work with a 3.7 engine?.. please excuse the ignorance.... ive always had jap cars (honda.. nissan.. toyota.. ) and never a truck ... really happy and excited so thanks for your input... and tom.... maybe we get a deal if we purchase 3!! :0P !! lol!!

Well, I just made the comparison between the TB on my '04 3.7 and an '02 4.7 and while most of it is identical, the bolt pattern is different. I'll try to find something a bit newer and see if it might work.
