Default AFE cold air intake problems

I'm hoping maybe someone can help me out. I am having trouble installing my afe cai on my 05 dodge 1500 with 5.7L. The brackets don't seem to line up and i'm hoping maybe someone can post some pics. I'm trying to install the afe stage 2 part number 54-10382 but none of the brackets line up. I think i'm doing something wrong thought. someone please shine some light with this

Got any pics???

I just did a Stage 1 install a few weeks ago and initially had a bit of a problem getting the intake top half to match up with the lower stock box. Then, after walking around and cursing, I went back to it and it was just a mistake on my part. I won't tell ya what I called myself at that point! LOL

So what brackets are giving you fits? Let me see if I can't find the install instructions for this and take a look at them. What I know I won't find there is how your intake box is oriented so if you got a pic or can take one and post it up, it will certainly help!

OK, I looked at the picture of the system. Which brackets are not lining up? The one closest to the intake, the intermediate or the lower bracket?

I got some running around to do but will be back so hopefully I can help you get this up and running!

The system has 2 brackets that connect to the actual intake piping and then it has 2 other brackets but the instruction for those say one goes on the 1st bolt of where the oem filter box was and the other bracket goes with the upper radiator mount bolt is. But if I try to line up the first bracket of where the oem filter box was then it doesn't reach the upper radiator bracket. IDK i'm at a complete lost and trust me last night I did my share of cursing. I know by me just explaining it its a bit hard to understand. I will try to take some pics and post up but will be tomorrow.

It may be that you are gonna need to use some self tapping screws to install the lower one. I'd line up the top and work my way down. Where the brackets have no hole it sounds like you are gonna have to make one. Or, call AFE Monday. They are great to work with!
