Default I don't know...

Hey all,
was getting my truck serviced today when I overheard service manager telling another customer that their throttle body and fuel injectors were dirty, and recommended cleaner injector cleaner service for 189.99.
(flush cleaning) (2009 ram, dont know miles)
Do any of you all have that performed on your engine?

Also, for oil change and new air filter price was 65.05. Pretty high I thought. I just don't have the time to do my own service. Anyways, just wondered if anyone else does or would ever do the injector flush.

I do it on mine regularly. You can save some coin by performing a similar service yourself though. I'd recommend adding a fuel injector cleaner to your fuel once in a while and about every 15k miles, treat your induction system to a can of Sea Foam. The air filters for a Hemi aren't cheap and the 7 quart oil capacity also costs a bit more. I'd recommend a reuseable air filter since it will pay for itself quickly.

What Randy ^^^^ said. You can avoid that kind of cost with some easy PM yourself (system cleaner) and the Sea Foam treatment is easy to do.

Wait till it's time to change out a set of spark plugs . You'll need to second mortgage your home . 16 of those bad boys .

That fuel injection clean deal is like around a hundred bucks and they really push it early, like pushing me to rotate my tires I don't even have 10 g miles, I think it's crazy the stuff they push.

I had mine in for some random recalls recently not even 4k on the clock and they told me my air filter on my CAI needed changed

A: it has less than 2k on it
B: its washable ..... duh!

I add a bottle of Redline SL1 about twice a year. Never had injector problems in 4 vehicles.

Most people rotate there tires every 2 oil changes or every 6,000 miles.

we use the bg 44k stuff and then the bg fuel system cleaner fed through the throttle body while the truck is running then shut it off let it soak in and then crank it back up, it's amazing on higher mileage cars all the carbon that is free'd up
