Default 2010 Sport With.....

17" Dick Cepek DC-2's?

Getting the DC-2's next spring with some new rubber...

I had my mind made up to go with 18's, but I notice the very popular size with the RAM aftermarkets are 17's

However...
I have not come across a whole lot of 09+ with 17" after markets tho.....

Would they look too small on an 09+???

What do you guys think?
(also what size tires would you guys recommend with either the 17" or 18" rim)
I have a 2" leveling kit

If anyone is running some aftermarkets on a new ram, post up some pics!

Looking forward to all your opinions.....

Cepek makes good tires and I think you'll like them.

I don't think 17's would look too small. What makes a combo look small is a short tire. Think about going to a taller tire since you have a level, such as a 75.

I have 18's and like the look.

I wonder would I be able to run like a 315 or 325, 65 or 70 with 17's if they would work

I'm having a problem understanding that logic. A 35 is still a 35 no matter what the wheel size is and this won't change the vertical dimension nor does it change the body clearance.

Only issue I can see with smaller wheel size is brake caliper clearance. Other than, wheel size makes no difference at all assuming tire height is the same.

I just took a look at my truck. I have the 20" wheels. Just eye-balling it, 17" wheels look like they may be to small to clear the brake caliper but the only way to know is to take off a wheel and slide on a 17" and see.

Hmmmm
Just thought about the fact that SLT's etc come standard with 17"
And the SLT optional wheel and sports come with 20's
Would the brake setup be the same?
If so then a 17" should work????

if you go to the discount tire site, they have an interactive wheel fit & you can see what it would look like on your vehicle

That's why I said "may be".

Were it me, I'd do test fit just to be sure. At a minimum I'd get the inside diameter of the wheels you're interested in and take off a wheel then take a tape measure to the wheel/hub/caliper.
