Default Passenger Front Axle Seal

Changed front diff. gear lube 3 weeks ago. Noticed this weekend that i had a leak on the driveway. Crawled underneath and the passenger front seal had leaked and everything towards the rear was coated in gear lube. Cleaned up around the seal and checked the level and can just get gear lube on the tip of my finger from the fill hole. Drove around and checked for more leaking and can't see "much". My question is when I grab the axle near the seal and move it up and down i can see the seal moving slightly (maybe a millimeter?) is this normal? Also do you think I overfilled when i did the fluid change and when the front diff warmed up it pushed gear lube out the seal? I'm debating having to take it to the "stealer" for an evealuation... thanks

My suggestion is just take it to the "stealer" refer to it that way and help will not be received from many including our resident tech

OK..... so i should just accept a 40% markup on parts and service through the dealer? $120/hr vs $80-100 everywhere else....... Front steering rack went and dealer quoted me $967..... had it done at another shop for $536 guarrantee and all I guess they are worth the extra $400+ for the same job. Sorry for the rant......

I think what hes saying is "Ramtech" is a mechanic at a Chrysler Dealer and he doesn't care to assist anyone who calls them "Stealerships" . You may want to check and make sure the vent on the differential isn't plugged up and forcing fluid out of the seal that way from overpressurizing . Other than that it may require a seal replacement .
