Default Newbie help! I think she is dead.

1999 ram 5.9 litre.

We had the plenum gasket done at Dodge last saturday. Left there running rough. It died on the highway. It has gas in the oil and no oil pressure. We were able to limp it home by doing a quick oil change but when you stepped on the gas you would loose all oil pressure. There is no smoke coming from it. It ran beautiful before the gasket replacement. Any ideas? We think fuel injector and oil pump. But isn't that a big coincidence to have this happen within the week of the plenum gasket?

If it was running fine before the plenum gasket replacement, take it back and the shop check it out.

Make the shop tow it back at their expense. Gas in the oil can ruin the motor.

So it went in severe internal engine damage. It is sitting at Dodge waiting for their next move.

We hired a independant liability assessor. His conclusion was that Dodge errored in their repair. They grinded off the gasket and shavings got into the motor. Causing the major internal damage. Dodge is now fixing our truck by replacing the motor with a new long block, at their expense. Finally
