After reading this thread I thought I would give it a try. My 2007 has 56,000 miles on it so I thought it could use a cleaning. I put 2/3 of a can in the brake booster line and it idled real rough and finally died. I let it have a 20-25 min. soak time and came back to fire it up. Was difficult to get started, but when it did..... HOLY CRAP! My truck was smoking like a coal burning locomotive! I thought the fire dept. was going to be called on me. I ran it to get all of the crap out and it runs like it is brand new! Someone else on here stated that they could really let the tires loose off the line. Well I second that! My second smoking was done from a stop sign on my way home. I hammered it and smoked my tires really good. I am also running a full bottle of this stuff through my fuel tank to clean out the fuel system. I'll probably continue to do the engine cleaning process each time I change my oil to keep everything running clean. GREAT PRODUCT!

Thanks for this thread or I would never have bought the stuff!

I know right! and I bet you noticed the pick up in a bit of throttle response, least I always do when I run it through it. It's a great product and I would recommend it for anyone.

I am starting to wonder if I put it in the right place...with all the other cars I had and have done this I had no problem. Maybe if I take a pic of where I went...could somebody tell me yes or no? I mean, I got nothing. That was one of the things I was looking toward to was the smoke show. Now, mine is a 2003 with under 61,000 miles. Should hit that in about a week or so. i will take a picture.

Glad to hear new seafoam users enjoy it. I love the stuff.

Default No smoke show today!!

Hey I used seafoam in my brake vacuum line about 1/3 the can poured in slowly until it died. I waited 15 minutes then told my son to come outside so he could see the "smoke show" only to start it up and what happened..... not a drop of smoke!! I guess thats a good thing and must be pretty clean inside the engine. My kid said "Yeah thats great Dad" and walked back inside. Nice.

I wonder if this would fix my high idle at start up?

I can attest to the Seafoam stuff working wonders...... I had a 1954 Oldsmobile with a stock motor in it. Ran horrible....

I took the carb off the car and soaked it in seafoam for a little bit......... then dumped the rest into the tank.

Ran like a champ after that......

My truck has a grand 6000 miles on it. I just changed the oil for the first time etc. If I run this seafoam stuff in my gas tank everyother fill up is that enough? I really want at least 300,000 out of this truck so I want to take the best care of it I can right from the start.

Thanks for all the info already in this thread! Its amazing how much I have learned while on this forum.

Can someone indicate where the brake booster line is? I've been using the sea foam in the gas tank - and even bought the Throttle body cleaner (w/ special adaptor hose - video on website). Made a big difference....but after reading this thread, would like to try and clean through the brake booster line.

Sea Foam is some good stuff!!

It is the hose connected to the brake booster on the drivers side firewall
