Hey guys thanks for the great posts...I am picking up today the F1 unit..suppose to be awesome, fibre glass over alluminum stronger and lighter...we shall see but a little pricey at $1,070 cdn here in Ontario. I did not order it on-line ..need it asap for weekend trip.

Anothere place was charging 1,250 installed...I think this is an easy install. I have a bedliner any problems installing these bakflips?

Thanks Musky

Thanks Musky
Install took me about 10 minutes, in low light conditions, it was almost dark out, haha.

What kind of bed liner do you have? I have a spray in liner and the only thing I had to do was push the drain tubes out of the holes right next to the drain (the tubes are slightly bent and do restrict water flow slightly if you use these holes without modification, but I dont mind a small amount of water over flowing into the bed, the water goes right out the factory drain in the bed corner, and its only during HEAVY rain anyway.)

If you have a drop-in liner, you will most likely have to cut holes in it for the drain tubes, unless there is already holes in it. Nothing hard tho.

Default bakflip install

Hi Guys,

Just installed the F1 unit. No problem. Drop in bed liner has openings for the hook loops on each corner of bed. Used the back two openings for the drain tube.

Question: i was not sure about the use of small lock washer included for the two screw in knobs for the back? The video install only used the two larger washers no lock washer.

Also, the rubbers trim at back that covers top of tailgate is curled in and does not sit flush. I assume this will works it way out eventually to sit more flush.

Thanks for any comments.

By the way anyone installed the BAKBOX? Nice looking unit.

I used the small lock washers, they didnt give us them there for nothing. Just make sure your rubber washers are the first ones on and touching the actual cover first.

I was concerned with the rubber at first too, but it has all setteled down now. Guess it just sits in that position for a long time in the box. One day in the sun and it should settle right down nice and flush.

I am looking for one for my crew cab with rambox. the moe's performance page has them for 698.00 but at the truckcustomizers.com web page they offer 689.00 and free shipping with the coupon code M6BAK3131. I think I might buy it at that price since I can't find it any cheaper. Anyone else have better luck than me?

I looked up tonneaus4less.com but that does not resolve to a web site. tonneausforless.com redirects to autoanything.com which is selling the G2 for 739.
